This week the video "Kony 2012" has been catching major crowd. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's about Joseph Kony, the terrible things he did and that we should stop him. The video in fact is so popular that the Youtube version has hit 58 million views in less than 5 days.
A while ago The Art of Flight, in my opinion the most awesome snowboard documentary ever, was released. The first couple of minutes completely grasped me. The very first things Travis Rice says is the following quote:
I've always been amazed by Dustin Curtis, his blog looks amazing and the design of each article is always customized for the content. His blog is a textbook example of how design is supposed to serve the content. But now he seems to have a problem.
Today I read an article about our Dutch minister of Immigration and Asylum who wants to cut on the expenses the Dutch government is paying for guiding young refugees when they're not accepted to the Netherlands to keep them from going into illegality. This article isn't really about that topic, but while we're at it: I think it's a smart thing to do. We have to cut expenses, and they have to leave the country anyhow, perfect.
The other day I discovered a really lovely image viewer called, tadaaaaa, View.js. I was like: "Ah! Neat! Where can I download that?" A couple of seconds later, when I was already reading the source code, I noticed the big purple "Buy" button. This lovely tiny plugin actually costs 10 bucks for a personal license (non-profit blog, hobby page, anyone?) and a whopping 30 bucks for a commercial license.
